GS Wax 125 - Filigree Injection Wax GS125 is a premium grade injection wax developed specifically for fine filigree type applications. Extremely flexible and easy flowing resulting in a exceptionally smooth and shiny surface finish. Will hold sharp details. Almost no shrinkage producing very high detail while enabling easy pattern removal without breakage.

Instructions for GS Waxes
Select the wax suitable for your needs and fill a clean wax pot.
Set the pot to the injection temperature and allow the wax to melt. Leaving overnight for the wax to equilibrate is best practice. Record the wax temperature with a thermometer to check the readout/dial on your pot is accurate. If there is a discrepancy the pot might need to be calibrated. Apply air pressure to desired level and inject the moulds.
We recommend that the temperature of the wax is kept constant and the pressure is varied to fill different shaped/thickness of patterns. The thinner the pattern the more pressure is required and thicker patterns need less pressure.

Common Questions and Answers associated with wax usage
Q - Waxes produced in the morning have a higher failure rate than the afternoon.
A - The wax pot has been switched off overnight and has taken until the afternoon to stabilise
the temperature in the pot. Leave the wax pot switched on at all times.
Q - The wax patterns are coming out with white specs on them or have not quite picked up all
the detail.
A - Too much talc or too much spray has been applied to the rubber mould to aid wax release.
This should be reduced to a minimum.
Q - Air bubbles in wax pattern.
A - Pressure too high, temperature too high, wax pot low in wax or poor seal between mould
and wax injector.
Q - Mould does not fill.
A - Pressure too low, temperature too low, injector nozzle blocked or sprue in mould too
narrow.
Q - Mould overfills.
A - Pressure too high, temperature too high, poorly cut mould or mould injected for too long.
Q - Wax distorts or sticks on removal of mould.
A - Leave mould longer after injection before opening.
