Ingot Mold Pressed Steel

An excellent cheap substitute for the small founder is a small cake tray for making small ingots in all metals with melting ponts below 750°C

The Ingot mold will last longer if coated in a ladle coat refractory paint and the ingots will release more freely.

Alway remember to heat the ingot mould prior to use to drive off moisture and prevent explosion risk.

For heavier duty use we advise you purchase cast iron ingot moulds which are more long lasting as well as being able to cope with all metals up to 1100°C
